Carpoglyphus lactis & Artemia spp. – Supplementary Food

What is it? Feeder Mite & Brine Shrimp Cysts.

How It Works: As predatory bugs and mites need a continuous food source to maintain a population, Nutemia can be used as an alternative food at low pest density.

Best Use: Apply at the beginning of the growing season when pest density is low and you want to keep the predatory bug or mite populations up.

Presentation: 10 million mites + 200 grams of Artemia spp. in a cardboard tube of 3.6 liters.

Shelf Life: Place within 1-2 days of receipt.

Step 1: Arrival

Upon arrival, please ensure that you place the product out immediately or within 1-2 days of receipt. Do not store the product in the refrigerator; instead, place the product in a cool, dark location at around 14°C until use.

Step 2: Placement

Apply Nutemia directly with or just after the first introduction of generalist predatory mites. Apply by sprinkling on the leaves by hand or with a Natutec Airobreez. Large heaps of carrier material may cause leaf damage, so make sure the material is distributed as a thin, even layer.

Step 3: Repeat Applications

Apply weekly or bi-weekly until the beneficial insect population is large enough to feed on the pests you are trying to control.
