Chrysoperla carnea or The Green Lacewing – Predatory Insect

How It Works: The Chrysoperla carnea larvae will attack prey, sucking out their body fluids. They are nocturnal, mostly feeding at night.

Important Information for Use:

  • Difficult to Spot: This predatory mite is hard to see during and after release.
  • Blends In: Chrysopa larvae blend in with the carrier material due to their coloring, making them hard to see during application.
  • Nocturnal Behavior: After release, they remain hidden during the day and only feed at night.

Step 1: Arrival 

Upon arrival, please ensure that you place the product out immediately or within 1-2 days of receipt. Do not store the product in the refrigerator; instead, place the bottles in a cool, dark location at around 14°C until use.

Step 2: Placement 

Spin the bottle gently before use and apply it to the infested leaves. The product can be applied on the rock wool slabs, on leaves, or via Dibox application boxes.

Step 3: Repeat Applications

To keep this predatory insect in your crop, you will want to introduce additional bottles on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. 

What to Expect Upon Arrival:

  • Bottles will be packed in a protective eco box with ice packs and buffer packs to ensure safe transport.
  • Each bottle contains larval predatory insects in a carrier material, along with food for their survival.
  • You may notice little movement upon arrival. This is normal, as the larvae will hide in the buckwheat during transport.

All orders received before Wednesday (3:00 pm EST) will ship the following week. We guarantee the product will arrive before end of day Saturday.
