Chrysoperla carnea or The Green Lacewing – Predatory Insect
How It Works: The Chrysoperla carnea larvae will attack prey, sucking out their body fluids. They are nocturnal, mostly feeding at night.
Target Pests:
- Controls all species of aphids, thrips (Onion thrips, Western flower thrips, and Impatiens thrips), and mealybugs (Long-tailed mealybug and Citrus mealybug)
- Feeds on caterpillar eggs
Best Use: When wanting to control the above pests.
Shelf Life: Within 1-2 days of receipt.

Important Information for Use:
- Difficult to Spot: This predatory mite is hard to see during and after release.
- Blends In: Chrysopa larvae blend in with the carrier material due to their coloring, making them hard to see during application.
- Nocturnal Behavior: After release, they remain hidden during the day and only feed at night.
