Description: Polystyrene cards coated with dry sticky glue. The adhesive of Horiver Dry does not come off on your hands.
How it Works: Horiver Drystick cards trap flying pests, preventing their movement and reducing egg-laying on plants. They also assist in pest identification and help assess the severity of infestations.
Best Use: For monitoring and trapping all flying pest insects:
- All alate (winged) aphids
- All adult thrips like the Western Flower Thrips (Frankliniella occidentalis) and Onion Thrips (Thrips tabaci).
- All adult flies (Diptera) like leaf-miners, fungus gnats (Sciarid Flies), shore flies, the house fly (Musca domestica), the lesser house fly (Fannia canicularis), and the biting stable flies (Stomoxys spp.).
- All adult whiteflies like the Tobacco Whitefly (Bemisia tabaci) and the Greenhouse Whitefly (Trialeurodes vaporariorum).
- Male adult mealybugs
Which Color Should You Choose?
- Yellow: Whiteflies, thrips, leaf miner, winged aphids, fungus gnats, shore flies, male mealybugs, and all other fly species.
- Blue: Mass trapping of thrips.
- White: Lygus spp.
Placement Guidelines:
- Tall Crops (Cucumbers, Tomatoes, Peppers): Position cards just above the canopy and adjust as plants grow.
- Low Canopy Crops (Strawberries, Lettuce): Use canes or wire holders, keeping cards max 30cm above the crop.
- Cannabis & Tropical Houseplants: Place above the canopy but away from artificial lights to prevent melting.
- Soil-Dwelling Pests: Position cards near the soil line for all crops.
