Neoseiulus cucumeris – Predatory Mite

How It Works: Neoseiulus cucumeris hunts and feeds on pests by piercing them with its mouthparts and extracting their internal fluids.

Target Pests: Feeds on the larvae of Western Flower Thrips, Onion Thrips, and other thrips species.

Best Use: to prevent and control the above pest species.

  • Use as an addition to your crop after applying a round of Thripex-Plus or Thripex-Mini sachets.
  • In cooler growing conditions, between 15-20C.

Shelf Life: within 1-2 days of receipt.

Important Information For Use:

  • Do not use Swirski, Thripex, Anso-mite, and Limonica on the same plants at the same time. These are generalist predatory mites, and if applied together, they may attack and eat each other instead of targeting pests. Always choose one type of generalist predatory mite per application.
  • Predatory mites are very small—typically 0.3 to 0.6 mm in size. This means they are difficult to spot with the naked eye.

Step 1: Arrival

Upon arrival, please ensure that you place the product out immediately or within 1-2 days of receipt. Do not store the product in the refrigerator; instead, place the bottles in a cool, dark location at around 14°C until use.

Step 2: Placement

  1. Bottle: Mix carefully by turning the bottle a few times. Push the center of the cap open to open the dosage hole. Then carefully sprinkle on the leaves or release in diboxes.
  2. Bucket: Mix carefully with a spoon. Use the spoon, a dibox, or the Natutec Airobreez to distribute on your plants. If using a spoon, carefully sprinkle on the leaves.

Make sure the material remains on the leaves for at least a few hours after releasing the predatory mites.
