Aphidoletes aphidymyza – Gall Midge
How It Works: Adult Aphidoletes aphidymyza emerge from the pupae and deposit their eggs in the aphid colonies. After emerging from the eggs, the larvae consume the aphids.
Target Pests: Controls all stages of aphids.
Best Use: In aphid hotspots.
Shelf Life: within 1-2 days of receipt.
Important Information for Use:
- Activation Time: This product begins feeding on aphids 14-21 days after introduction.
- Not for Prevention: It should not be used as a preventative measure against aphids. A sufficient aphid population is required for reproduction.
- Environmental Conditions: Requires humidity levels above 70% for optimal performance.
- Activity Cycle: Gall midges are active at night.
- Chemical Sensitivity: This product is highly sensitive to chemical treatments. Use Koppert One to check compatibility before use.
